Athletic Trainers at Spooky Nook Sports

As part of our partnership with Spooky Nook Sports Champion Mill, we've collaborated with Kettering Health to introduce on-site Athletic Trainer Services! This addition enhances our commitment to quality, trusted orthopedic care by addressing the daily health and fitness needs of athletes at the Nook.

Our Athletic Trainers are available at our Spooky Nook, Hamilton location every evening and via appointment in our training room in building 100 next to our suite entrance. We provide the following services:

Athletic Trainer Hours:
- Daily hours: An AT will be available August-May 5pm-10pm and June-July 8am-10pm
- Event hours: An AT will be available 30 minutes before the first contest at our base location through the end of the event
Emergency care: first aid, injury evaluations and education for injury treatment and prevention.
Location: We will be in the AT room in the main lobby or under the blue tent close to the event. If you cannot find the AT, see the front desk and they will contact the AT for you.
Injuries: When an injury occurs, the athlete is to be brought to an AT location if possible. In an emergency, send a parent or athlete to get an AT and we will respond to the court.
Taping: We will tape athletes if they bring their own tape or purchase tape from guest services, for $5/roll.
Concussions are managed based on Ohio State Law "Ohio State Law as well as NFHS rules and OHSAA policy require a student who exhibits signs, symptoms or behaviors associated with concussion to be removed from a practice or contest and not permitted to reenter practice or competition on the same day as the removal. Thereafter, written medical authorization from a physician (M.D. or D.O.) or another qualified licensed medical provider, is required to grant clearance for the student to return to participation."
