Dr. Nathan Melton, DO

Dr. Melton is board certified in orthopedic surgery and subspecialty certified in Sports Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). He is a senior clinical examiner for the AOBOS and serve on their executive board. During his time as a physician, Dr. Melton has taken care of multiple sports teams ranging from the high school and college levels (Southwest Baptist University) to a professional level (Kansas City Mavericks). He performs a broad spectrum of general orthopedic procedures, including fracture fixation of the upper and lower extremity and Arthroscopy of the knee, ankle and shoulder. He also performs ligament and tendon repairs of the upper and lower extremities as well as joint replacement, most notably custom total knee replacement with 3D printing technology. In addition, Dr. Melton completed a Foot and Ankle fellowship at the University of Cincinnati and perform a variety of lower extremity reconstructive procedures. Academically, he is the chair of the AOBOS test writing committee for board certification, writing and developing content that comprises the test that other orthopedic surgeons must pass to become board certified.
